Show K'SS. PARL VANCE DIES IN CALIFORNIA M.c vn i "ance died at her home in Garden Grove, California, March 17th. The remains were brought to Fairview for funeral service and in-interment. in-interment. Services were held in the North ward chapel, March 21st, with Bishop Jones presiding. Music was by the combined ward choirs with a special solo by Miss Inez Jeppson and a duet by Jesse L. ' Young and Stanley Brady. The speakers were Bishop Peter Nielson. Bishop J. R. Graham, and Fred Danielson, all of whom spoke well of her life. Prayers were offered by James Anderson An-derson and Chauncey Howell. The flower covered grave in the Fairview e'tv cemetery was dedicated by Frank Tucker. Mrs. Abigale Tucker Vance was born in Fairview in 1865. the daughter ot Rebecca Winters and Amasa Tucker. Her father was Bishop of the Fairview ward for many years. In 1884 she married " Parley Vance. They have six children: George F., Willard, and Earl Vance of Garden Grove, California, Mrs. Arthur Redding Red-ding and Miss Iris Vance of Los Angeles, Ang-eles, California, and Miss Rowena Vance of Long Beach. She is also survived by one brother, Amasa Tucker Tuck-er of Fairview, and a number of half-brothers half-brothers and sisters, Mrs. J. P. Larsen, Marian and Loren Tucker of Fairview; Mrs. Ethel Madsen and Mrs. Berkely Olsen of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Royal Candland of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Sophia Nordstrom, Tyson, Charles and Moroni Tucker of Idaho; Herbert and Ray Tucker of Delta, Utah. She Is also survived by a number of grandchildren. grand-children. I.ir. and Mrs. Vance lived in Fair-view Fair-view for many years but the last ten years have been in California. Her son Willard was a soldier in the World War. |
