Show I I i SPRING CITY ! i By Special Correspondence Bishop and Mrs. Andrew Jensen Jen-sen and Mr. and Mrs. Heber Jensen Jen-sen of Cardston, Alberta, Canada are guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Thompson and other relatives. Bishop Jensen left Spring City thirty-five years ago and this has been his first visit back. Mrs. Alma Benson is slowly recovering re-covering from an appendicitis operation op-eration performed by Dr." Rigby of Fairview July 20. Mrs. Boyd Alfred was pleasantly surprised Friday, July 22 by fifteen fif-teen of her relatives and friends, the occasion being her birthday. Dainty refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. John R, Baxter are the proud parents of a son oorn July 28. Mr. and Mis. Paul Lucow and son. Paul, left Friday after visiting visit-ing for a month with Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Sorensen and ether relatives in this city. I-v uce Anderson of Salt Lake City is visiting at the home of Mrs Sarah E. Hyde.. Mr. Redick R. Allied :of Manti visited over the week end in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Easton. Kel-sey. Kel-sey. Mr. Allred is one of the early pioneers of this city and a Black Kawk Indian war veteran. Mrs. Victor Peterson .' of Salt Lake City is visiting with her sister. sis-ter. Mrs. DeLoyd Mickelsen. Mr. and Mrs. Melrose Pritchett and children of Los Angeles, California Cal-ifornia are visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Watson. Mrs. Petrea Larsen, Mrs. Orin Jensen and children, Miss Mary Larsen and Mrs. Von "Justesen and daughter, Patricia, were Monroe Mon-roe visitors Sunday and Monday. Glen Anderson of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Vern Anderson of Salt Lake City visited Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Easton Kelsey. They were accompanied back to Salt Lake by their mother, Mrs. Abbie Andersen, who has been visiting vith her brother, Easton. Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Kelsey hadn't seen each other for "more than 25 years. A large number of Spring City people were in Fairview this week for the Black Hawk encampment. Mr. Bert Watson and family are spending the week in the mountains. Miss Dora Beck left Friday to spend the remaining summer months with her cousin, Mrs. Maitland Drage, at Orem. |
