Show James Franklin, Crowther Dies at Provo Home James Franklin Crowther, 70, well known stock raiser and fanner, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Long, 444 east Sixth North street, Provo, following fol-lowing an illness of three months. Mr. Crowther was born in Ephraim, Eph-raim, Utah, September 17, 1860. He moved at an early age to Fountain Green and still later moved ta Sanfcrd, Colorado. After his return re-turn to Utah he removed to Provo where he has since resided. He was a faithful member of the Church being a member of the high presists' quorum of the Utah stake at the time of his death. He was chairman of the genealogical committee of the Provo Fifth ward. In 1898 he filled a mission to the Southern States. His wife, Mary Olsen Crowther died February 24 of this year. Surviving him are the following sens and daughters: Mrs. Grace Stevens, Richfield, Idaho; Arthur Crowther. Ogden; Lewis O. Crowther, Crow-ther, Richfield, Idaho; Mrs. Esthei Long. Provo; Osmond Crowther, Fountain Green; Earl Crowther, Provo; and Eldon Crowther, who is enroute home from England, where he has been laboring as a missionary. mis-sionary. The young man received his release three weeks ago. Two brothers nd two sisters also survive as follows: Thomas C. Crow ther, Sanford, Colo.; William O. Crowther, Manassa, Colo.; Mrs. Laura Morgan, Sanford, Colo.; Mrs. .Mary Ann Anderson, Manti. Funeral services will be held after af-ter the arrival of the son, Eldon Crowther. |
