Show Growing U. S- Exports Tn a review of United States export; i.nd imocrts for the fiscal year ended June 30, the Department of Commerce Com-merce sh-.ws thvt exports increased ' in value about ten per cent, while imports im-ports increased about three and one-half one-half per cent over the previous fiscal year. Exports increased by approximately a half billion dollars, although grain exports fell off, so that the increase was accounted for chiefly by the greater great-er exportation of manufactured goods. In the matter of merchandise the United Uni-ted States exported more than a billion dollars in excess of imports. In view of the higher wages paid by our manufacturers in comparison with foreign factories, this showing is a high tribute to American production produc-tion methods and marketing skill. |
