Show North Sanpete Students Make Good Showing At H. Y. U. Superintendent A. E. Jones has received re-ceived a report from the regislerar of the Brigham Young University at Provo In which the marks for each of the twenty-four students at Provo from North Sanpete School District now in attendance at that University ire given. We find fiTOm this report hat the following number of students earned the 'marks indicated: A-Honrs, 36; B-Hours, 107; C-Hours, C-Hours, 128; D-IIours, 14; E-IIourj, 17; Incomplete Work, 57. A B. C. and D. are passing grades R is failure. Incomplete indicates hat the stlbject either is not ended or that the student has some work !o complete, at which time the mark will be changed to a passing grade. Register J. E. Hayes lias the following fol-lowing to say: "Wh'ile we have not na.de a compilation so that it may be told definately of these students with the student body at large, it ippoars to me that they air-e about iverri;e'. We should be gad to see the number of E-Hours cut to a zero, but 17 hours of 359 hours is not a very lorious situation. Taking college work in general, we are sure that the per cent of failure is as great or geater than Is shown in the report of students from this district. |
