Show NORTH SANPETE SIIMS IN -THE UHIVEHSITY OF UTAH Recorder K. .1. Norton of the University Univ-ersity or Utah has reported the work done by the ten students trom North Sanpete Schools who are attendng .'he University or Utah. For the Fall Quarter, recently ended, these students stud-ents have obtained the following ",rades and hours of credit. A Honrs, O.r,; B-Hours, 22; c. Honrs, (;",; D-Hours, 20; Hours Incomplete, In-complete, 5 ; Hours, Dropped, 11.5; I'i -Hours, lit. Mr. Norton says, "It happenes that two or three or your students this year ha'.e records somewhat low for i lie fall quarter, w hich fact lowers ihe average for a small group. I feel sure that the present showing is som-.!iat som-.!iat accidental, and that with your cooperation your students will compare com-pare favorably when we have their records tabulated for a number of terns." School authorities of North Sanpete San-pete School District are aware that ihe University of Utah is attempting to hold its students to a high standard stand-ard of scholarship, and they congra-l.uiate congra-l.uiate the University for this attempt. We bel'eve that our students, in genial, gen-ial, will measure up well in any institution. in-stitution. There may often be some one or two students who, through failure to make the necessary adjustment adjust-ment to a new situation or failure to ree the proper purpose of attendance at higher institutions, will not be a crtdit to themselves or to their high school. When the total nulmber of students is as low as ten, one such 'failure makes it appear that none are doing well; when, as a matter of fact, nearly all are completing their courses. We expect these students o improve their standing as the school year continues, and we have faith that they will. |
