Show Stage Coach 1 Mail Driver Passes Away W-jrti was received Tuesday, March 31st at Spring City and Mt. r'ieuiant of the death of William Aoelbtrc Allied, age 72, at Salina. II.'. Allied suffered a stroke only a low unys before. He was a foimer resient of Chester where he made his home and lived most of his hfe. but moved to Salina two ycais ago tD live with his daughter, daugh-ter, Mis. Bert Murphy. Mr. Allred was born at Ephraim January 21, 1859, the son of Isaac and Emma Dewey Allred. He married Lavina Neilson, who pass-jd pass-jd away a'ocit eight years ago. iiu is survived by one sister, Mrs. Thomas vVest of Mt. Pleasant, and i.n:ce half-brothers, Thomas Hay-v. Hay-v. ard of Bountiful, Orson Allred .;i.d Samuel Allred of Spring City, also three sons, Leon and Ross All-red All-red of Spring City, Reginald Allred All-red of Salina and one daughter M.s. Myral Murphy also of Salina. Iu. Allred was one of the fiist mad drivers of the stage coaches, in the valley, taking the mail from th- railroad at Wales through the valley south to Manti. F.m.ral services were held this F.iday at one o'clock at the Chester Ches-ter ward meeting house with Bisli-.) Bisli-.) Joseph F. Bagnall presiding. The opening song "O My Father" ics rendered by the ward choir. Piayer was offered by Elder Chris-Can Chris-Can Christensen. A duet, was given by Clair Christensen" and u.dney Bagnall. Reed Allred of Spring City sen,! a sole, the choir sang, "I Know that My Redeemer Lives" and the closing prayer was given by G. A. Sumsion.. A long cor-Icge cor-Icge of automobiles accompanied cho remains to the cemetery where Elder Wilford West of Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, dedicated the grave. Many beautiful flowers given by friends and relatives were spread ever the grave. People from Bountiful, Salina, Ephraim, Spring City and Mount Pleasant were in attendance at the .Tvicc. Burial was under the supervision of the Hansen Undertaking Co. of Mt. Pleasant. |
