Kan-ab. A special train will leave Salt Lake at 2:30 a. m. daily beginning June 15. The new train will carry mail to Marysvale where it will be luaded on busses for points as far south as Kanab, thus extending the advantages of the new schedule to the southernmost portions of the state. The bus meeting the train will reach Kanab early in the evening eve-ning of the same day, carrying morning newspapers from Salt Laice as well as mail. The return schedule provides foi transportation by bus leaving Kanab Kan-ab in the early morning and connecting con-necting with another mail train at Marysvale, bringing the- mails to Salt Lake by early evening. The new schedule was evolved following fol-lowing pretests against tardy mail service in southern Utah. Under the new arrangement not only will the extreme points receive greatly improved service, but intermediate points, as well, will be given better mailing facilities. |
