Show j SPRING CITY I By Special Correspondence Bishop James F. Ellis, John S. Blain, Elliot Watson, Farrel Sorensen Sor-ensen attended the general conference con-ference in Salt Lake City. Mrs. L. O. Larsen was the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Leona Johnson John-son in Springville for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson were in Salt Lake City on business last weeK. Mr. Vivian Larsen made a business busi-ness trip to Manti on Tuesday of this week. Vern Bills and family spent Easter in Fairview with relatives. . Arthur Nunley and family of Salt Lake City visited last week with Mrs. Nunley's mother, Mrs. Margaret Osborne and other rela-tivies rela-tivies in this city. Mr. Seb Carlson of Eureka was an Easter guest of his mother, Mrs. Mina Carlson. ' A number of families motored to Manti last Sunday where the children chil-dren enjoyed rolling Easter eggs down the Temple Hill. Monday evening a dancing party was given in the Victory Hall in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Jones. Mrs. Jones was formerly Miss Lela Baer of Woods Cross. The young couple were married in Salt Lake City on April first and the people of Spring City wish them much success. Mrs. Myrtle Nielson and children child-ren left Tuesday for their home m Salt Lake City after a ten days visit here with their mother and grandmother, Mrs.. Almina Peterson. Peter-son. Funeral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday at two o'clock in the ward chapel for the year old daughter cf Marie D. and William Ball of Clear Creek. Interment was in the Spring City cemetery. The parents, an grandmother, Mis. Jane. Danielsen and great-grandmother, Mrs. Serelda Jane Blain, survive. Pat Barney visited in Spring City Wednesday of last week with "his mother, Mrs. Minnie D. Barney. She returned wiih him to Delta where she wilt visit for a week wiih her children in that city. Miss Earldine Jensen entertained the Lark and Blue Eird groups of the Primary at the home of her motner, Mis. Earl Jensen on Friday Fri-day evening. Thirty guests were present. An enjoyable time was had by all. j Mr. and Mrs. Virt Barney of Delta visited this week with Mr. and Mrs. Marinus Mortensen in this city. Mrs. Barney was form- lerly Miss Olive Mortensen. A number of men and teams are now employed in hauling gravel and other construction work on the road from Pigeon Hollow to Spring City. |
