The city's millions were confronted with a graphic illustration of this Tuesday when a count was made of the damage wreaked by Monday Mon-day night's storm. Two men were killed kill-ed and aproximately thirty persons injured in-jured in a subway landslide in Brooklyn, Brook-lyn, two women were killed on Staten island when a dam gave way near Brighton, and it was expected the property damage in the metropolitan area would total $6,000,000. . Staten Island suffered the brunt of the storm. There it was estimated a damage of $3,000,000 was caused by the torren- ( tial thunderstorm. Traffic facilities on the island were paralyzed. |
