Show TUBERGDLARTEST FOR THE DAIRY CATTLE COMPULSORY In .recent is-jues o-f the County and State Press there has appeared news articles announcing a tuberculosis le-.t to be given Dairy Cattle in San-, pete County. I have written the State Veterinarin asking weather or not this best i3 compulsery and in! answer to this he writes me in part 1 as follows: "Reguarding statement ; vhich you wished to have made concerning con-cerning the test, I beg to advise you that the te3t is not voluntary, hut is compulsory and every man s expected to- submit his cattle for he test. In case be does not some -.lep.s will have to be taken to compel him to do so. ! Regacdiing the age and type of breed of cattle to be included In the !est I wish to state that every thing over thiee months of the Dairy type or any cattle that iming.le' with Dairy "'attle even if they may be classed as . ange cattle should be -tested." There will be four state and federal feder-al Vetcifianians in the county ready !o begin work Monday September 13. and to continue until the entire county i-3 .completed will require about three weeks. The (boys judging -contest was done by the sheep club boys and is a function which should be included in-cluded in future (programs for .the benefit of clubs and can well be carried car-ried to ailt groups. The Sanpete County Fair Premium book Is probably the first dn Utah to re-eon,r;nize wool. .Fleeces of wool were exhibited, judged and decorated with ribbnn-s along side of ot-her AiffriitiOitiirsd products, fin (recognition (recogn-ition o-f it3 importance in Sanpete and Utah, it can well occupy greater space another year. The Fair Association 1 will maintain its lead in this venture I with credit aud pride. |
