And It makes a most excellent dish. . . ." The doctor was about to conclude this letter with a recipe for "Making a Good Wife." but he broke off and wrote this instead: "Pshaw, an acquaintance of mine, a young lady of Litchfield, knows how to make this dish better than any other person in the world and she has promised prom-ised to treat me with it some time." And the young lady of Litchfield did. |
