Work on the federal aid road under the supervision of Sum-sion Sum-sion & Clyde, contractors, on the My-ton-Antelope section is progressing in a satisfactory manner. The camp has been established not far from the river, riv-er, near the Antelope end of the road. About twenty-five men are at work, with twenty-one teams. Nearly a mile of the road grade is finished, and in a short time they expect to -start on the bridge. Richfield. The officers and directors direc-tors of the Sevier County Fair association asso-ciation are working assiduously to make the county fair this year the most successful in the history of Se vier county. Dr. I. L. Nebeker is the manager and he has spared neithei effort nor expense to obtain the best attractions available. An excellent rodeo will be given, with cowboys from neighboring counties participating. participat-ing. Ogden. A branch of the treasury department of the Southern Pacific system is to be installed in Ogden, according to word received here. Under Un-der the present method pay checks are mailed from the San Francisco office for the entire Salt Lake division. divi-sion. Under the new system the entire en-tire payrolls for the Salt Lake division divi-sion will be handled out of Ogden. This will necessitate the addition of several employees, who will probably probab-ly be transferred from the general offices. Brigham City. Arthur Woolley, attorney at-torney . of Ogden, was elected commander com-mander of the Utah department of the American Legion at the last session ses-sion of the seventh annual convention conven-tion held here. He was unopposed for the position and the convention en thusiastically acclaimed his ascendency ascend-ency to the position. Park City. The local board of education edu-cation met and decided to call an election for' the taxpayers of the' Park City school district to determine whether or not the district be bonded bond-ed for $200,000 for the building and equipping of a new high school. Salt Lake City. Organization of the secretaries of chambers of commerce com-merce and commercial clubs of the state into one body to be known as the Utah Association of Commercial Organization Secretaries, whose object ob-ject will be to work for the advancement advance-ment of the state, was perfected at a meeting held at the Salt Lake chamber of commerce. J. H. Ray-burn, Ray-burn, general secretary of the local chamber was elected president of the new organization. Salt Lake City Albert John Weber, former chief justice of the supreme court of Utah, died at his country home in Mill Creek after a long illness ill-ness due to a complication of diseases. di-seases. ' Judge Weber was 6G years of age. Woods Cross Joseph S. Day of Woods Cross .was returned to his family fam-ily after being absent for more than five months as the result of an attack at-tack of amnesia. He is said to have been traveling under an alias and to have suddenly remembered, his correct cor-rect name when he heard the name of George Day mentioned. Upon his return Day said that he planned to have his name and address tatooed on his body, so that he can be identified iden-tified in case of other attacks of Amnesia. Am-nesia. Day, who is a veteran of the world war, has suffered three such attacks in all. Salt Lake City. Impressive funer al services were held at the Tabernacle Taber-nacle for John J. McClellan, Tabernacle Taber-nacle organist, who died at his home Friends, associates and persons from all walks of life attended and paid their last respects. Vernal. The Whiterocks Irrigation company has a crc-'.v of ten men with teams at work constructing a dam forty feet high across Paradise creek, in the lower end of Paradise park, about twenty miles north of Lapoint. The scene of the activities iS located in the Ashley national forest and the dam is being constructed under a forest for-est service permit. The company's development work to be completed this year calls for an expenditure ot $18,000. Salt Lake City.
