Dunn, of Tooele, President of The Utah Press Association Ephraim Of the 25,992 farms in Utah, 7157, or 27 per cent, hold grazing graz-ing permits on national forests, It is reported by the Manti National forest office here. Of the 504,368 head of cattle cat-tle on these farms, 141,262 head, or 25 percent, have forest range permits, and of the 2,355,033 sheep owned within with-in the state, 747,309, or 32 per cent, have similar grazing permits. The farms total $,000,724 acres, or 9.55 per i cent, of the total land area of the state. Vernal Beekeepers of Utah will hold their annual meeting in Salt Lake on December 14 and 15, according to H. E. Hillman, state apiarist. Experts from the agricultural department in Washington will attend and will deliver de-liver short talks on the industry. Roosevelt The board of governors of the chamber of commerce voted the sum of $100 to the Parent-Teacher association as-sociation playground committee. This committee, which consists of Homer P. Edwards, Mrs. D. P. Whitemore and Leo D. Young, has already raised considerably con-siderably over $100, which, with the chamber's appropriation, assures a good nucleus for furnishing' the playground play-ground of Roosevelt's new elementary school building.
