Show Utah Holds Record For '25 Sugar Crop Utah was the banner state of the country in the production of sugar during the past season, says FACTS ABOUT SUGAR in presenting it: annual report of the 1925-26 beet sugar crop :n the Uninted States. While the whole Intermountain dis-'riet dis-'riet made a fine showing with an ivotuge of 28 3 pounds of sugar from each ton of beets, compared with an average of 257 pounds for the whole country, Utah was ahead of all t:.e olher states in the general excellence excel-lence of its crop record. The average yield of beets in Utah wf-s 13.4 tons per acre, which was higher than any other state except Nebraska and the average yield of -..gar per acre of beets harvested was 4102 pound" or over two tons. This is the best record ever made by any slate.
