Show KA1KV1KW Henry Kasmussen, son of Hans Kasmusseu of Fai'rview, has received a call to go on a mission to Canada. He gave his farewell address at the South Ward meeting house on Sepi. 7th. and also spoke in Sunday School the same day. Mr. Rasiuusseu is a member of the American Legion He will leave Salt Lake City fo Canada on September 17th. A fare j w ell party w ill be given in his honor by the Fairview South Ward Sept. 11th. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Terry announce an-nounce the birth of a boy at their home September 7th. i Hyram Hansen, who spent the ' past two years in the Southern States niSssdon, has been released and will return home this week. A'panty i" i his honor will be given by the North Ward Friday evening, Sept. 12th. ' The annual mothers ana Daughters Daugh-ters outing of the North Ward was celebrated Sept. 5th. They went in Hay racks to J. T. Fowles" farm ' near Oakville. They cooked breakfast break-fast and dinner by camp fires and a good program of games and mus-c were enjoyed. j Mrs. Maud Graham, and Miss Clista Lasson left this week for Pasedena. California, where they go to take training in a hospital, to become nurses. They formerly taught school in Honolulu, H. I. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Day of Bountiful, Bounti-ful, are guests of Mr. and Mrs, E. A. Day. N i The Misses Verona and Belva Cox left Thursday for Roosevelt where i they will teach school this -winter. Miss Verona received her A. B. degree de-gree at the State Agricultural Col- j lege last spring. Mr. -and Mrs. W. W. Brady, Mr and Mrs. Delmar Orten, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lindquist returned tc I thedlF home at Magna after a week's visit with friends and relatives at Fairview. Bohne and daughters Mary and Flora of Gr-1 Gr-1 field were guests of Mr. and Mrs. i John Nordstirora during the week. Miss Olive Peterson went to Ogden last week to remain for the coming winter. Mrs. E. A. Day, who spent the past month at Provo and Bountiful, Bounti-ful, returned home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Linden Peterson were Payson visitors the fore part of the week. |
