Show Republicans Hold Convention Here Republicans of Sanpete County assembled in a county convention Saturday at North Sanpete high school in Mt. Pleasant, pursuant to a call issued by the Republican county chairman, E. D. Andersen of Moroni Dr. M. TI. Knudoen of Ephraim was elected temporary chairman and Orange Aldrich of Mt. Pleasant was "emporary secretary. The following were nontmated for he Republican county ticket, State senator, W. D. Candland of Mt. Pleasant Pleas-ant state representatives Jacob Thompson of Ephraim and Archie Moli1 or of Fayette, long term Commissioner Com-missioner Junius Metcalf of Gunnison, Gunni-son, short term commissioner Jolm Gundersen, of Mt. Pleasant assessor Leo Morley of Moroni; recorder, Mrs. Blanche Eliason of Manti; treasurer, B. R. Jnsten-.en of Spring City; clerk Ernell Mortensen of Ephra'm; attor ney C. M. Edwards of Gunnison; fheriff J. II. Sandersen of Fairview, surveyor Clyde Whitlok of Mayfiell . S. P. Petersen of Manti was electen trinity chairman and he with the rha'rman of, . preceinct committees will constitute the county committee Mrs. Sla.-lsy H.
