Show City Council Decides To F.nU'r Clean Town Campaign The city council iu regular session '.Saturday evening voted to enter the stat contest in the clean hotme, clean town campaign and made an appropriation appro-priation of five cents per capita tax to be used iu the contest. Of this three-fifths goes to the state fund, one- fifth to the county fund and one-fifth one-fifth to the local organization. The council also decided to enforce the city ordinances more strictly in regards re-gards to ditches, streets, outbuildings and the removal of all old rubbisa aud trash piles, and will expect the citizens civic pride to co-operate iu making the Hub City the cleanest and most beautiful city in Utah. A formal observance of Memorial Day was also agreed upon and Mayor Thomas ISraby, Clarence Andersen, commander of the local American Legion Post and Mrs. Francis Neil-sen, Neil-sen, president of the Service Star Legion, will meet this week to name committees to make plans for the day |
