Show ART EXHIBIT BEGINS FEB. 1 Al Fill Many Beautiful Paintings of Noted Artists Are Listed In The Exhibit; Will Also Be Shown at Mt. Pleasant, Eph-raim Eph-raim and Manti. Fairview, Mt. Pleasant, Ephraim and Manti are fortunate in having the privilege of receiving an Art exhibit ex-hibit in their respective communities for a period of one week's duration respectively. ' The exhibit begins Monday, February Febru-ary 1st. at Fairview and will be shown there for a week, then It will be taken to Mt. Pleasant for a -reek, and to Bphraim and Manti, and then to Nephi. In the collection of paintings in this exhibit, there are masterpieces of art from the leading artists of the state. i In this exhibit will '-be shown e!ght splendid" paintings by John H. Standsfield of Mt. Pleasant and Fair-view. Fair-view. Jesse Young of Fairview will also exlbi't a number of paintings-. Mrs. H. C. Jacobs and Supertendent Louis A. Petersen of Mt, Pleasant . wi'll exhibit a nurrfber of their choice' productions. J Lee Green Richards of Salt Lake City has three pictwrec in the exhibit, 5 one worth $400; one $200 and one $100.' Carnelius Salisbury of Oigdun has a large "Winter Sumlight" valued at $150; one "Fall" valued at $75; a "Moonlight" winter valued at $100; and a gift picture', j Lawrence Squire of Salt Lake exhibits ex-hibits a Desert (cactus) valued at $100; and another painting valued, et $100. Bessie Bancroft of Salt Lake exhibits ex-hibits "Water Lillies" worth $100. J. T. Harwood, Instructor in the University of Utah, exhibits "Crest of the Wave" valued at $100; and a r.umber of smaller pictures. Orson Campbell of Provo, Utah exiMts a nulmiber of fine pictures. B. F. Larsen, Instructor in the B. Y. U. at Provo exhibits three beautiful beauti-ful pictures. J. H. Moser of Logan exhibits two very fine pictures. Calvin Fletcher, Instructor in Art. at the Agricultural College at Logan exhibits "Tiimpanogas," valuie $15 0, and a numiber of smaller ones valued at $50 each. Joseph Everett of Salt Lake Olty has two views of City Creek in the exhibition valued at $50 each. Mrs. David Keith of Salt Lake has two wondenfull piotures which were In Spain last summer. Prof. E. A. Eastmond, Instructor at the B. Y. U. will exhibit a number of pictures. Miss Gamet-te of Salt Lake will be anioriT the exhibitors. Rose Howard of Murray will exhibit ex-hibit some of her work. One of Johdn Hafen's wonderful pictures, valued at $600, will be exhibited ex-hibited here. Florence Ware of Salt Lake will have two pictures in the exhibit. Mabel Frazer, instructor in the University Un-iversity of Utah Arts and Designs, will exhibit a number of pictures. Myra Sawyer of Salt Lake will be represented at the exhibit. Jack Sears of Salt Lake Salt will be represented at the exhibit. A. B. Wright, Art Instructor at the L. D. S. College, will have three pletwre-s in the exhibit. J. A. Parker of Ogden will be a-mong a-mong the exhibitors. Mahonri Young of New York City will have a picture valued at $100, and another at $30. Hal Burrows of Salt Lake Cits will be represented with a pictur worth $50. Waldo Midfrley of New York Cttj will have a picture valued at $300 and one "Winters Autumn Colors' valued at $150. Mary Teasdtl of San Franciscc will have some pictures in the exhibit. |
