Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen of Spanish Fork visited relatives in Fairview during the week. Mrs. Myron Tucker and small son are guests at the home of Mrs. Edgar Ed-gar Lasson. Mrs. Rosana Jones of Salt Lake City is a guest at the home of her sister Mrs. Charles Peterson. Mrs. Andrew Christensen of Col-ton Col-ton is a Fairview visitor. Mrs. George Daley went to Salt Lake Thursday. A baby girl was. welcomed at the home of Mt. and Mrs. Clarence Mower last week. Mrs. Lynn Hall of Salt Lake City is a guest at the home of her mother, Mrs. Louise Lindquist. Mrs. Maud Richards of Union and Mir. Lawrence Turpin of Og'deu came to Fairview on account of the death of their father, Moroni Turpin. Mrs. Lizzie Lasson went to Salt Lake City this week to receive medical attention at the hospital. On Tuesday evening a number of ladies entertained their husbands at a chicken supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Tanner. Games and music were al;o enjoyed. The party included Messrs and Mesdames James Peterson, Or in Barker, Jack Pritchett, N. B. Pritchett, Henry Mills, Otto Peterson, W. , E. Bench, Orson Miner, Floren Peterson, Roy Cox, and Myron Tanner. Miss Ethel Olsen and Mi3S Fisld-ing Fisld-ing entertained at luncheon Tuesday evening for the following guests: Lewis Rigby, Frank Vance, Q. Graham, Gra-ham, Francis Rasmussen, A,gatha Larsen and Anna Pherson. The color scheme in the decorations was carried out in red and white. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed. Miss Belma Anderson entertained twelve of her friends at a Valentine party Tuesday evening. Games, music, and refreshments made a 'pleasant evening for all. Th,e following o (fleers were elected: President Burns Cox, Vice-president Vice-president Amasa Rasmussen, Secretary Secre-tary and treasurer Lionel Peterson, board members John W. Christensen, Christen-sen, and A. U. Miner. James L. R'ljby was selected as dairy project ' leader. I The excursion to the Manti Temple Tem-ple from both Fairview wards was successful. More than twenty-five persons attended, part of them doing work for three days. The Fairview Commercial club is again active as evidenced Thursday evening when Dr. O. K. Hansen, Mayor of Provo, addressed an appreciative ap-preciative audience in the North Ward Chapel on matters relating to civic improvements. Dr. Hansen emphasized the importance im-portance of a strong commercial club organization, and referred to a number of activities that we could, with profit, give attention to in our community. A report was also given by A. L. ;Carlston of his recent trip to Salt Lake, relative to the Fairview-Hunt-ington road project. Musical numbers num-bers were rendered by Jesse Young and Harold Mower. Thursday night's meeting was arranged ar-ranged for as part of the Commercial Commer-cial Club program to "put over" a membership drive. A number of new members have already been received, re-ceived, and it is the intention of the "drive" committe to canvas the entire en-tire community. |
