Show PIONEER OF FAIRVIEW ANSWERS CALL OF DEATH Moroni Turpin, age 78 years, on3 of the Pioneers of this section, died at his home Tuesday after a long illness with dropsy. Mr. Turpin was born in Harrison County, West Virginia. He crossed the plains with an ox-carl company in 1848. In 1S50 the family returned re-turned to Viriginla, but came back to Utah in 1852. locating at Union Fort. He married Margaret Rigby July 14. 1863 in the old endown-niBiit endown-niBiit house at Salt Lake. Soma time later they came to Fairview Mr. Turpin was a veteran of the Blackhawk war. His vife died 14 years ago. He married Mrs. Julia S. Rigby, who survives him. IK-is IK-is also survived by ten children. Jessie M. Turpin, James William Turpin. LeRoy Turpin. Clarence Turpin. Tur-pin. Myron Turpin. Lester Turpin. and Mrs. Andrew Amundsen of Fair-view. Fair-view. Charles W. Turpin of Jerome Idaho. Maui T. Richards of Union Fort. Lawrence .Turpin of Ogden. and there are fifty grand children and thirteen ,rreat grand children Funeral services will be held Saturday Sat-urday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Fairview North ward chapel. |
