Show MUTINEERS SENT TO PRISON. Negro Soldiers Who Attacked Whites in Texas Are Sentenced. San Antonio, Texas. Six negro soldiers sol-diers of the Twenty-fourth infantry, who clashed with the civil police and the troops sent to subdue them at Waco on the night of July 29, were found guilty of violation of the uiue-ty-third article of war before the general gen-eral court-mn rtial held recently at I Camp MacArthur, Waco. Five of the 'men were sentenced to five years at hard labor in the United States penitentiary peni-tentiary at Leavenworth, Kan. The sixth man received ten years. All were sentenced to be dishonorably discharged dis-charged from the service and to forfeit for-feit nil pay and allowances due or to become due while in confinement under un-der the sentence. |
