Show Nation Pays Respect to Heroes. Washington President Harding laid a wreath of rememhrance on the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington national cemetery. It was set there as a wordless greeting from the hearts of America to a valorous, honored son, and commemorated the first anniversary anniver-sary of his home coming from France. And the utter simplicity and sincerity of the tribute was in a way as gripping grip-ping to the few who saw it as was the day long tide of emotional fervor that marked the home coming. It set a custom for the national observance obser-vance of Arimstice day in the future that will make the unknown from France the keeper America's annual an-nual expression of pride and glory in her sons who fought in France, be the living or dead. |
