Show FAIRVIEW Herbert Taylor, Henry Taylor, and Wm. Taylor of Abraham are visiting their sister, Mrs. Fred Danielsou and other relatives in Fairview this week. Mrs. A. O. -Bonne and little sons of Garfield are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Turpin this week. Mrs. Terry Giessel of Salt Lake City is a guest at the home of her brother, Oscar Norman. Mr.' and Mrs. Andrew Rosenlund of Eaireka are visiting their son, Paul Rosenlund. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Nickolsen of Salt Lake visited Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Turpin last week. Mrs. Thomas Anderson and son, Lavar of Burnt Fork, Wyoming who spent the past two weeks here returned re-turned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John O. Carlston and family left Wednesday for Salt Lake' City where they go to make their future home. Mrs. Calvin Jones who spent the past-two weeks with relatives returned return-ed to her home in Salt Lake City Wednesday. The social event of last week was a banquet and social was given by the Commercial Club in honor of John O Carlston, Swen O. Nielson and Fred Olsen, all of whom are leaving our city soon. Will G. Farrel and Mr. Carter of Salt Lake City were also special guests. An excellent four course dinner w-as served. The tables were decorated with gladiolas. sweet peas and ferns. Fifty-six people peo-ple were present and enjoyed the entertainment. en-tertainment. Speeches were given by S. S. Sanderson. John O. Carlston. Fred Olsen. Will G. Farrell and; Mr. Carter. H. M. Rasmvissen acted; as toastmaster. The Misses Ethel and Tressa Lindquis'. prepared and arranged the banquet. Miss Verona Cox entertained at a: party given at her home Monday afternoon and evening. Mr. and Mrs. Willar'd Frandsen have announced the marriage of their daughter, Maggie to Reid Gammell of Springville. The wedding took place Thursday August 21. in the Manti Temple, and was followed by a reception Thursday evening at the bride's home for the members of the family and close friends of the popular popu-lar young couple. The young couple are both w;ell known here and in Provo where they were students at the B. Y. U. Mrs. Gammell is widely wide-ly known through central UIp.1i as a talented Ipianist. The couple left Saturday morning for a brief honey moon in Los Angeles and will later make their home in Juarez, Mexico. Several friends and relatives from Rupert, Idaho Springville. Salt Lake and Provo were in atlndauce at the wedding reception. Mrs. William Nicholson and cnild-ren cnild-ren of Salt Lake are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Stans-field. Stans-field. Mr. Nicholspn spent a couple of days here .during the early part of the week. Miss Christie Lund was the happy recipient of a surprise party Sunday in honor of her thirteenth birthday anniversary. Eighteen of her little friends were present, bringing with them a dainty luncheon and spent an enjoyable afternoon with games and music. Mr. and Mrs. C. ij. Johns returned Friday evening nf last week from a motor trip to Salt Lake. Miss Mary Storer of Salt Lake accompained them home. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Eatinger and children and their guests, Mrs. J. W. Eatinger and Mrs. F. L. Benedict of Newton, Kansas motored to Salt Lake last week, returning Saturday. Miss Viola Lindahl of Salt Lake spent several days here this week with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. William Morrison and their son. LaMar Morrison of Monroe are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ericksen. Mrs. J. H. Horning of Salt Lake is a guest at the C. L. Johns home. Mrs. O. R. Dibblee and three little daughters and Mrs. E S. Walker and little daughter all of Salt Lake are guests at the home of their parents, par-ents, Mayor and Mrs W. D, Candland. Cand-land. Mr. and Mrs. William Doidge of Park City and Mrs. John Knudsen of Bingham ha.'e visited - Fairview and Mt. Pleasant relatives this week. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Averett and Mrs. Verda Randstrom of Rupert, Idaho, who came down to attend the Frandsen-Gammell nuptials are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Frandsen. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Seely. a little laughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Hylie Seely of Hay-den, Hay-den, Wednesday evening. Miss Adeline Brand. Miss Velma Tidwell, Miss Nettie Heauniunn, and Miss Helen Nelson enjoyed a picnic to the Rainbow Fishery Sunday. Mrs. Tressie Anderson of Fountain Green went to Heber City Thursday to visit relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs ;. McKell, Mrs II. J. McNeil. Len; rl and Garvin McKell are quests of Mr. and Mrs. K.
