Wall will entertain enter-tain the "Women's Missionary Society next Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. C. W Sorensen entertained enter-tained the Twentieth Ceutury club Thursday afternoon. The program included a paper on "Safe Milk," by Mrs. James Larsen; a talk "Zezzebel and Athaliah," by Mrs. Fannie C. Miles; a vocal solo, by Mrs. Obed Nelson; a clarainet solo by Master Clayton Sorensen, and a reading by Mrs. Francis Neilson. Luncheon was served for twenty-five guests. Miss Myrle Aldrich entertained enter-tained at dinner Thursday evening complimentary to Miss May Carter of Salt Lake. Other guests were Miss Rita jShand, Miss Iiuth Braithwaite j Elliott Tattle and Kjarlus Jen- sen, all of Manti, and Oliver; Seely and Frank Nelson. , An enthusiastic meeting of1 iMerville Zabriskie Post No. I ; of the American Legion was I held Thursday evening and was addressed by Kirke M. Decker, post department ad jutant for the department of ttah. . Anderson Ander-son discussed details and programs pro-grams outlined for the legion and also announced the local legionaries will fittingly observe ob-serve Memorial Day and that committees on arrangements will be selected at the next meeting of the post. Dr. H. W. Reherd, president of Westminster College of Salt Lake addressed the Wasatch Wa-satch Academy students at chapel exercises Tuesday mom ing emphasizing the present day need of a college education Dr. Reherd also spoke to the dormitory students at vespers Monday evening and made a special talk 'before the senior class Tuesday forenoon. Dr. and Mrs. II. F. Synder-,gaard Synder-,gaard left Wednesday for a few days visit in Salt Lake. |
