Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Glen G. Neill of Salt Lake returned to their home Wednesday Wed-nesday after a pleasant visit here with Mrs. Neil's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Anderson. Newton Clemensen, who has been in the Ordnance Department of the U. S. army at Camp Kearny for the past year, is spending a short furlough fur-lough here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Clemensen. Mr. and Mrs. John Gunderson entertained en-tertained at "dinner Sunday complimentary compli-mentary to Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Sor-ensen Sor-ensen of Lark, Utah. Fifteen guests were present. Miss Selma Jensen was hostess at a beautifully appointed dinner Sunday Sun-day for twenty-five guests in honor of her birthday anniversary. A program pro-gram of musical numbers was enjoyed enjoy-ed during the afternoon. Mrs. A. S. Nilson returned Wednesday Wed-nesday morning from a week's visit with friends at Manti. Mrs. Peter Johansen of Castle Dale is spending a week here with rela-' rela-' lives. Miss Goldie Neilsen, who left Wednesday Wed-nesday to attend the U. or U., was the complimented guest at a kensington and luncheon given Monday afternoon after-noon by Miss Gladys Ericksen. Other guests were Miss Melba Aldrich, Miss Eva Simpson, Miss Nettie Beaumann, Miss Arcilee Barnett, Miss Addie An-derisen, An-derisen, Miss Velma Tidwell, Miss Kate Ericksen and Miss Ina Neilsen of St. George. All the most popular sheet music can be procured at the Weech Drug Store. Advt. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Anderson were hosts at a family dinner Friday evening even-ing at their farm home in compliment to Mrs. Anderson's sister, Mrs. L. H. Robinson of Garfield. Twelve guests were present. Mrs. Parley Hansen entertained several friends at a luncheon Thursday Thurs-day afternoon, in honor of Mrs. Hyrum Hy-rum Sornsen. Mrs. H. P. Jorgensen accompanied "her son Arthur and Croft Larsen to (Salt Lake Thursday. The boys will register for mechanical training at the U. of U. Miss Vera Poulson, who is stenographer sten-ographer in the D. & R. G. offices at Thistle, spent the week en'd here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Poulson. |
