Show MRS. ANNA Hll GONE TOJIHAL REST Bishop William Shelley of Mountainville presided at the funeral service held Thursday afternoon in the North Ward Chapel for Mrs. Anna Burnside of Mountainville. The first anthem by the choir was "I Need Thee Every Hour" and Nelson Johansen offered the invocation. invoca-tion. The chior then sang, "O My Father" and the speakers were Allen Rowe, Sidney San'dersen of Fairview, Joseph Seely, and Bishop H. C. Jacobs, all of whom paid high tribute to the character of the deceased. Mrs. Burnside had alays been an earnest worker and had for several years been president of the Mountainville Moun-tainville - Relief Society. Miss Gertrude Rolfson sang "Face to Face" and the closing hymn by the choir was, Wanted On the Other Side". The benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by J. W. Anderson. Many beautiful floral offering were sent by her many friends and relatives. Interment was in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery where the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by Mads Anderson, t Mrs. Burnside passed away sudden- 'ly at her home in Mountainville Mon- ; day, January 30, 1922 at one o'clock P. M. of pneumonia, having only been lill but three days. She was horn 1 :at Bathvale, Airshire, Scotland on September 16th. 1856. She wa3 the ; daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth 'Campbell. She emigrated to America Ameri-ca in 18 66 with friends of the family 'two years before the rest of her father's family. She was the wife of William Burnside, who proceeded her fourteen years ago. She was ; an energetic, industrious and saving woman. She was ever willing to assist those in trouble. If there ; was any sickness in her neighbor- : hood she was there to assist as a nurse, and if there was a death she ( was there to attend to the body and comfort the bereaved as best she Vcould. She was" midwife In the ward for many years and she seldom charged those who were not in good financial conditions. She was a very loving and devoted wife and t mother. She was a faithful and tireless church worker, always performing per-forming every duty that came to her. She was set a part as president of .Mountainville Relief Society in Sept. ,1903 by Bishop Lars Madsen, which office she held for sixteen and one-half one-half years, being released on May 2, 192 0 on account of ill health. For the past two years her health has been very poor. .Those who are left to mourn her : departure are her daughters,- Mrs. Parley A. AUre'd of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Andrew Madsen of Fairview, ;Mrs. William N.x Brotherson of Bone-- Bone-- ta. The sons are John M. Burnside and William Burnside of Mt.. Pleasant Pleas-ant and James C. Burnside of Logan, one brother James Cambell of Boise, Idaho, one sister, Mrs. Hyrum Mar-croft Mar-croft of Salt Lake City, twenty-nine grand children and four great grand I children, and many other relative"? 'and friends. She will be greatly missed by them all. |
