Show FUNERAL HELD FOR CHAS. HAMPSHIRE Charles Hampshire, a form er resident of Mt. Pleasant, died at a Salt Lake hospital Saturday morning. The body was brought to Mount Pleas-iant Pleas-iant Wednesday for ouriai. j Mr. Hampshire was born in I England 77 years ago, and bad dived. in Mt. Pleasant since he was a young man until nineteen nine-teen years ago he moved to Salt ' Lake City. His first wife is Mrs. Elizabeth Hampshire Hamp-shire of Mount Pleasant and his second wife was Airs. Blen-da Blen-da Hampshire of 374 F. street, Salt Lake. He is survived by the following sons and daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. George. IJ.. Olsen, j Samuel K., and Byron Hampshire Hamp-shire of. Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Vilate Bradley, Frank, Victor, William, and Lillian Hamp-' shire of Salt Lake, Paul Hamp- j shire of Los Angeles, 'Mrs. Jennie Barnson of San Diego and Mrs. Lettie Sadler of Salt Lake City. . Funeral services were held Thursday ' morning in North Ward chapel at 10:30 with Bishop H. C. Jacobs presiding. The invocation was offered by Henry P. Olseh and Joseph Seely pronounced the benediction. benedic-tion. The speakers were Alef Ericksen of Raymond, Canad. Williaim Olson, C. N. Lund, President Adolph Merz and Bishop Jacobs.' Special musical mu-sical numbers were sung by the ward choir and Mrs. Obed Nelson sang "0 My Father." I A' duet, "One Fleetin Hour," iwassung by the Misses Elda Hafen and Gertrude Rolf son. A long automobile cortege followed fol-lowed to the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Bishop Jacobs. The floral offerings were ex ceedingly beautiful. The pall bearers were six sons of Mr. Hampshire, Samuel, Byron, Paul, Frank, William, and Victor Hampshire. |
