C. the board of trustees have appointed a non-catholic and a "Mormon" "Mor-mon" at that, to a law instuctorship in the law school bf the university. Don Johnson, late first Lieutenant of infantry of the. United States I army, has been appointed to the faculty of the Catholic university: He will- teach three different courses. cours-es. Mr. Johnson is the son of former Congressman Jacob Johnson of Utah. While his father was a member of Congress a fw days ago, youreg Johnson attended Catholic university, univers-ity, where he made a splendid record, re-cord, both as a student and as an athlete. It was Johnson who pitched pitch-ed a no-hit game for his school a few year's ago against Harvard. After Af-ter getting his decree and passing the bar examination, Mr. Johnson attended the second officers training camp at Pesidio, Calfornia, and soon after attended the rank of first lieutenant. Early last summer he went to Washington to visit old friends and also to prepare for a year's post graduate work. He had a legal post in the Bureau of War Risk Insurance, which he resigned for the faculty appointed. |
