Show Farmington By KATHRYN JENNINGS 451-2027 Edna Nicholls, former postmaster post-master in Farmington for many years, celebrated her 88th birthday on July 25 at her home. Her family brought the dinner and all celebrated at Edna's home. She does not get away from home often, because be-cause of her arthritis, but does not complain and enjoys her garden and flowers and her family and friends. Mary Jones went to Gallup, New Mexico recently to visit with a daughter and family, DeWayne and Lauren Lee, and four children. Lauren and the children la-. la-. ter drove Mrs. Jones back to Farmington and the visitors are enjoying relatives and friends in the area. The Farmington Fifth Ward High Priest group, entertained on Friday evening with a dinner din-ner in Farmington Stake Center. Cen-ter. The widows of the ward were special guests for the evening. About 60 guests enjoyed en-joyed the dinner party with Rex Hancey in charge of the affair. Del and Nina Callaway and daughter Nin'el and two girl friends have driven here from Folsom, Calif. Del and Nina have been guests of Nina's mother, Minnie Min-nie Lund and the girls have spent the week at BYU in Prove Pro-ve attending the youth program prog-ram which was held last week for all LDS youth. Nin'el hopes to be able to come to school at BYU in another year, she will finish her senior year in Folsom in May 1984. kj |
