OCR Text	Show DR. COOK ARRESTED AT SPY. American Explorer Denied Permission to Climb Mount Everest. San Francisco. Dr. Frederick A Cook, who left San Francisco in Juni to climb Mount Everest in the Hima layas. was arrested in Rangoon, Bur ma. as a Gorman spy. and his motion picture outfit was confiscated, accord ing to Curtis W. Allen, an American timber buyer who has returned from an eleven months' trip in the far east Allen said that Dr. Cook was released later, hut permission to climb Everest was withheld.
