Mrs. Cynthia Holman of Garfield is visiting her mother and o ther relatives rela-tives in Fairview this week. Anthon Nielson and wife of Mapel-ton Mapel-ton have spent the past week at Fairview. Peter Carlston of Salt Lake City was here last week, and presented the ward with a beautiful painting of the Prophet Joseph Smith, paint-I paint-I ed by Ramsey. Mr. Payton of Mohrland is the euest of. Miss Mable Lasson this week. A pleasing and instructive program pro-gram was presented on Sunday evening eve-ning by the M. I. A. of Moroni. Their subject was "life and.Poemsof H. W. Longfellow". The Ladies Literary Club .with their parents and a few friends had an Routing at Swen O. NieIson,s ranch August the seventeenth. After feasting on wild berries, the roasted lamb provided by Mr, Nielson - was much appreciated. On August twentieth, a reception was given at the home of Andrew Lassen in honor of the marriage of his daughter, Selma to Dr. Fah-ring. Fah-ring. A sumpuous supper was served to about forty-five guests. Many beautiful and useful presents were received by the bride and groom. They will make their home at Sunnyside. Mrs. Mary Peterson has been very ill the past week, but is reported improving. Mrs. Ella Allred is very ill with nervous prostration. Her husband is on a mission in the Southern States. |
