Show 1 Spring City-John City-John S. and James W. Blain have been in the County Clerk's office at Manti the past week. Mrs. L. 0. Larsen and children have been visiting relatives in Fairview. There was a sad funeral here last Saturday, Mrs. Thomas Davis, a young mother aged 18 years. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marenus Larsen formerly of this city but now Of Winter Quarters. Jennie Larsen Davis was married not quite a year ago to Thomas Davis of Winter Quarters where she died Aug. 7th, leaving a young baby only a little lit-tle over two weeks old. Her remains re-mains were brought across the mountains moun-tains from there by team, arriving here Friday Aug. 9th. Those who accompanied the remains here were the husband, his parents and one brother, Mr. and Mrs. Marenus Larsen, Lar-sen, Mr. and Mrs. James Lindley, Leonard Larsen, Blanche Larsen and Mrs. P. C. Larsen. The speakers at the funeral were Rasmus Justesen, John R. Baxter, and Bp. L. 0. Larsen. Lar-sen. The singing was beautiful and consisted of numbers by the choir, Vocal duett, Misses Libbie Acord and 'Lola Bachman, "Our Heavenly Father Fath-er Knows;" Solo, Orson Acord, "I have Read of a Beautiful City." There was a large audience and the floral offerings were many and beautiful. beau-tiful. Mr. and Mrs. Osborne and Edith and Pratt Osborne left for Emery Co. Wednesday morning where they expect to remain for a wpek or two visiting with their daughter and other oth-er relatives at Ferron and Castledale. C. L. Crawforth, Joseph G. Sco-field Sco-field and Wesley Beck went to Idaho this week and are looking for land in the Twin Falls county. , Delvia Allred returned recently from a trip to Kaysville, Ogden and Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jennie Graf and children of Salina, Kansas was here to visit her niece, Mrs.Hannah Jensen a few days. Mrs. Orson Blain and her mother and sister, Mrs. and Miss Sandberg of Salt Lake have been in Spring City for ten days visiting Orson Blain's parents. Beatrice Sears of Salt Lake is here staying with her grandmother, Mrs. Ashouth for a couple of weeks. Irene Henchen has gone to California Cali-fornia where she is to be married. Mrs. DeLos Blain and children of Salt Lake are visiting with her parents, par-ents, L. M. Christensen. Mrs. John Bowd of Salt Lake is here visiting her sister, Mrs. Lydia Puzey and Mrs. Mary Ann Allred. Eugene Allred, who has leased the Jacob Johnson fruit farm, reports he will have a thousand bushels of fine apples and about fifty of peaches.
