Mrs. Makinsoh's body was found in the ruins of Puckett's burning home September 3rd last. The defense contended con-tended that Puckett, on awakening in the night and finding his house aflame and seeing a woman leaving, had hurriedly hur-riedly fired at her, not knowing the woman was his mother. The state charged that Puckett deliberately murdered his mother. |
