Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS N. S. Neilson left Wednesday for Salt Lake City where he went to attend at-tend the Bankers convention which is being held there this week. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Jensen went to Salt Lake City last Wednesday to attend at-tend the Bankers meetings which are being held there this week. Chief Probation Officer Arthur O. Neilson is in Salt Lake City this week visiting with his mother and brothers who are living there this summer. Miss Rachel Guuderson and her brother Laben are spending the week in Salt Lake City attending the Mutual Mu-tual confenence and also visiting with relatives. A. L. Peterson, assistant cashier of the North Sanpete Bank, is in Salt Lake City to attend the Bankers meetings and also the M. I. A. Conference Con-ference which is in session. Supt. and Mrs. James W. Anderson Ander-son went to Salt Lake City this week to attend an educational convention. They will go to Ogrlen to visit with Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Sanderson before be-fore returning to Mount Pleasant. Miss Mabel Borg went to Salt Lake City Wednesday to study music under the direction of a noted pianist who recently came over from Germany. It is Miss Borg's intention to sp jnd the greater portion of the summer in Salt Lake City. The parents of both wards are invited in-vited to meet at the North Ward Chapel next Sunday to assist in appointing ap-pointing a rommittPp to wait upon the hoard of education and discuss matters of importance pertaining to lhf training of children in the school along vocational work from the 4th j grade and up. Miss Zelda Rasmussen went to Salt Lake City yesterday to attend Summer Sum-mer School. Miss Nellie McArthur is home from Salt Lake City to spend part of the vacation days in Mount Pleasant. Word is received from Salt Lake City that George Plumas Boyden is meeting with much success in music circles in the city. Mrs. Andrew Larson departed yesterday yes-terday afternon for Idaho where she will visit with her sons who are living in the gem state. The regular W. (?. T. We noticed in last Sunday's Herald-Republican that Howard Strang a former Mt. Pleasant boy stands at the head of the list in batting average of the Trolley league, consisting of eight teams. Mrs. Georgia B. Johnson, who has been teaching at Brigham during the past year, returned home Thursday and will spend the summer here in Mount Pleasant with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. James Borg. Miss Caroline Rasmussen and Mrs. Fannie Miles departed Wednesday from Salt Lake City for New York where they are going to attend the Columbia University during the sum. mer vacation. Mrs. Miles taught in the Public Schols at Mount Pleasant the past year and Miss Rasmussen taught at Nephi. During their stay in the east they will study primary supervision. 1 |
