Show Hip Placed With Block And Tackle Provo, June 9. Anchored by a rope tied to a stone, Kenneth Borg had his dislocated hip pulled back into place by means of a block and tackle Monday. There was no physician physi-cian within ninety miles of Government Govern-ment creek, Juab county, where the automobile accident in which he was injured took place, and his companions, compan-ions, Fera Decker and T. T. Kirk made surgeons of themselves for the time being. Mr. Borg is now on a ranch at Government creek. The party left Provo by auto Sunday Sun-day to investigate a land project in the western part of the state. While going down the divide on Government creek the auto turned turtle, pinning Mr. Borg beneath it. Mr. Kirk and Decker escaped injury. It was found that Mr. Borg's right arm and hip were dislocated. A few strong pulls on the part of Mr. Kirk and Mr. Decker Deck-er placed the arm in good condition, but try as they might they were unable una-ble to put the hip back into place. A rope was taken from the machine and he was anchored to a stone. A block and tackle was brought from the car and hitched to a tree and the hip pulled into place. |
