Show (1(0) A fine display of fancy needle work uone by Oliver Seelev, 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Seeley, has been on exhibition during dur-ing the past few days at the Wasatch Mercantile Store in this city. Oliver received the first premium for the best display of fine sewing in Class VII Work by Girls or Boys Under 15 Years of Age, at the State Fair last October. It is certainly a great credit for any young girl or buy to be able to do work of this kind. Great wonder and astonishment has been manifested by all who have seen the boy's achievements in this line. At an informal studio tea at Wasatch Was-atch Academy last Friday, Miss Whittelsey presented several of her younger pupils in piano numbers, f hose taking part were Hazel Stocks, Marjorie Winters, Helen Peterson, Gwendola Stocks, David Davis, Ernest Ern-est Staker, Nellie Madsen, Margaret Margar-et Wall, Yolande Sutton. The last two are pupils of Miss Dumbould. There were four-hand numbers as well as solos. The program was as follows: Halloween, zapper, Moment Mom-ent Musical, Schubert, Gaints and Dwarls wolf, Les Sylph es, Bocham ann, To a Rosebud, Woodland Waltz, Dutton, Butterflies, Lege, Contentment, Content-ment, Engelmann. |
