Rasinusspu of this city, suffered a compound fracture of the IcTt leg when sliii was struck by a street car on East South Temple street last night in Salt Lake City. Miss HasniUKScn. who is a student at (he University of Utah and who lives with L. It. Wardrop, 2.16 Douglas Doug-las avenue, during the college season, sea-son, was on a street car bound easl on South Temple street. Near the corner of A and South Temple streets she alighted and walked around the back of the car to roach the other side of the street. At that moment ft South Temple street car westbound, came along and Miss Rasmussen was struck by the lender, which hurled her clear of the car. She was picked up hy S. F. Neslcn, 7 2 E street, and F. E. Hansen Han-sen of the Buckingham apartments being detained at the latter's home until an ambulance, called by Mr. Hansen, arrived and took her to the L. D. S. hospital. Besides injury to her leg, she Is suffering from a slight scalp wound. Her parents in (his city were notified noti-fied by The Tribune and the mother vill visit the hospital today. Mr. Rasmussen is a farmer of this district dis-trict and his daughter Is well thought of among a large number of friends. |
