Show SPRING CITY N. B. Jensen went to Manti Monday. Mon-day. i Mrs. Jacob Johnson is a Salt Lake visitor this week. Mrs. Petrea Monsen and daughter were called to Redmond Monday on account of the death of a relative. Mrs. Orris Peterson arrived home Saturday. Mr. Petersan has been working in the state of Colorado for some time. J. M. Alldrich and children have been visiting with relatives in An-nabella An-nabella this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Baxter, Sen., were called to Orangeville Wednesday Wednes-day on account of the death of a relative. J. M. Johnson, S. T. Beck, Andrew Madsen and Eugene Allred were bus-' iness visitors in Fountain Green Monday. Mon-day. They made the trip in Mr. Johnson's automobile. The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company have a gang of men camped near the depot who are making a number of necessary line improvements. Mrs. Lynn Barney and Mrs. Karl Jensen entertained Sunday evening in honor of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Barney's twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. j The hum of the threshing machine again reminds us that autumn (is drawing near. Spring City wil have three machines in operation this year, two steams and one gasoline. j The Spring City Light and Milling Company have received metal flume-ing flume-ing this week which will be installed in the near future to carry water to the power plant. A new dynamo electric elec-tric machine of high power and latest lat-est improved type will also be installed. in-stalled. An additional heavy copper wire will connect the city with the power plant. These improvements will put the local plant second to none in this vicinity, and will furnish furn-ish an abundance of power for various vari-ous uses. Miss Nita Allred entertained a number of her friends Monday evening. ev-ening. A delicious five-course supper sup-per was served and later they enjoyed en-joyed the treat at the Lyceum Theatre. The-atre. Those present were Mrs. Le-ninrk. Le-ninrk. Mrs. W. M. Bigelow, Mrs. Earl Jensen, Misses Ada Broush, Floris Allred, Lucile Mickle, Lavinia Justesen. Austin Ei-k'ksen formerly of Spring City and now of Ephraim and Miss Eva Allred of Spring City were married mar-ried Wednesday, August 25 in the Manti Temple. A wedding supper was given at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Isabelle Allred, in their honor and a dancing party was given at the Lvceum Theatre the same evening, ev-ening, where light refreshments were served. Mr. Ericksen returned but a few months ago from the mission field He is a talented musician and among the most highly respected young men of his community. Miss Allred was a leader in social and church circles here a..J has also taught in the public school for a number num-ber of vears. The young people ill make their home at CpiLmiu. Mrs. J. G. Schofield celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of her birth Tuesday, Tues-day, August 24th in a most fitting manner. A sumptuous supper was served early in the evening to the friends and relatives present. The evening's cntertainmenls' consisted of games, singing and social conversation. conver-sation.
