Show Leland McGann entertained at a birthday dinner party Thursday Aug. 13th at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McGann, in honor of his 13th birthday. They also enjoyed en-joyed the moving pictures in connection connec-tion with other amusements furnished furnish-ed for the little folks. Miss Goldie Nellson entertained Tuesday evening at a dinner party .t her home. Curtis Gunderson entertained at a lirthday dinner party Wednesday evening at his home In honor of his 2 1st birthday. The invited gueBts were Myrle Beokstrom, Leonard Pet-rson, Pet-rson, Vlda Knudsen, Shirley Poulsen, Poul-sen, Alta Gunderson, Paul MonBen md Veatrlce Johansen. The party went to the moving pictures and then were pleasantly entertained at the home of Mr. Gunderson. Mrs. Roswell McArthur entertained at a bundle shower at her home Tues-lay Tues-lay afternoon, Aug. 18th, in honor of Miss Marsella Scovil who is to be one of Mt. Pleasant's early autumn brides. There were about twenty five guests who enjoyed the social hour. The rooms were beautifully decorated in sweet peas and dallas. Mlsa Scovil received many beautiful presents of Bllverware, ehlna and linen. lin-en. ; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wall entertained it a five course dinner party at their tome Thursday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Ila Campbell and Mrs. Eloese Snos who depart soon for California. The rooms were beautifully decorated n a profusion of nasturtiums and Jolden Glow. Hand painted place ;ardB were arranged by the hostess. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. R. Vnderson, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Burch, Mr. and Mrs. H. LeRoy NellBon, Mrs. O. R. Dibblee of Salt Lake City, Andrew An-drew Neilson and the guests of honor. Mrs. W. B. Hicks entertained at her home Thursday afternon. The party was one of unusual Interest to the ladles who were present. Mrs. Hicks, having juBt recently returned from New York and other eastern cities, took her guests on a delightful nental excursion trip, portraying to them all the most interesting things which she saw on the trip. Mrs. licks Is a very interesting and jharming hostes and is gifted with liscriptive story telling. She made the afternoon one continuous round of interest with the views and dis-criptiona dis-criptiona which Bhe gave for the benefit of her guests. Those present were Mrs. Burston, Mrs. H. C. Jacobs, Mrs. R. A. Broadhurst, Mrs. Fred Rasmussen, Mrs. George Clemensen, Mrs. H. C. Beaumann, Mrs. C. D. Strang and Mrs. Cha3. H. Denhalter. The hostess served dainty refreshments refresh-ments and Mr. Hicks, took the party out for an auto ride. ' |
