OCR Text	Show Successful Brain Amputation. The Paris Journal cites a surgical miracle. Doctor Guepin expounded before the Academy of Science the case of a soldier of twenty-two years of age, who had to undergo a partial amputation of the brain. The wounded man has so far recovered that he will not be discharged from the active army. The doctor verified the fact that the rapid removal of a part of the cerebral matter has been productive of no appreciable trouble. The operation oper-ation depends for its success on speed and boldness.
