Show Spring City Will Drive Saturday, 18th, Rabbit Drives are becoming popular in Sanpete County. Great success has been achieved by the people in this particular method of getting rid of the bunnies in this valley. Last Saturday a second drive was made midway between Mount Pleasant Pleas-ant and Spring City. This time every ev-ery citizen in the two towns that was able to participate in the hunt made it his duty to be there and help corral cor-ral all the rabbits possible. A more careful count was made this time tnan the one taken at the first drive. There being numbered 3,038.. One coyote was captured duringthe drive bv Reed' Burns and Harry Ericksen. Experienced hunters say that it would have cost more than $500 to have killed that many rabbits withl guns. In driving, a clean sweep is made of the whole country and very few rabbits get away when it is conducted con-ducted in the proper manner. No one is in danger of being shot and it is conceded that the drive is the most successful way to exterminate the bunnies. Spring City is to make the third drive just South of Spring City. Ephraim Eph-raim and Mount Pleasant people will join them and they expect to pxter-1 minate thousands at the place se-i ected. The Ephraim people will; start at the head of Pigeon Hollow; and proceed towards the hunting; grounds, while Spring City and Mt.j Pleasant will begin at the North end j |
