Miss Carol Jensen departed Wed nesday for Oberlin. Ohio, where she will altend college this year. Her sister. Winifred, accompanied her as far as Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beckstroiu announce the marriage of their daughter, Merril, to Mr. Clyde Mc-Clciiahan Mc-Clciiahan of this city. The marriage "ill take place Thursday, September I I. Mr. McClenahan is one of Mount I'leasant's well respected young men and Miss Beckstroiu is a popular girl in social circles. Arthur J. Wagstaff and Thomas McDonald motored from Salt- Lake city Sunday and are guests at the homo or Win. G. WagstatT. Mrs. Wagstaff entertained at a dinner Monday In their honor. The table was laid on Ihe screen porch and decorated dec-orated in autumn colors. The centerpiece cen-terpiece consisted of a beautiful Oriental basket of flo'ers. Covers were laid for fourteen besides the guests of honor. Leo Seely. son of John H. Scely of Ibis oily, returned Friday from a two years' mission to the British Isles. Elder Sooly labored in Ireland most of the time while he was away. Ho reports many interesting events concerning con-cerning the conditions that exist in that country at the present time. While in that country Mr. Sooly was asked lo give ample proof that he was an American citizen. He says that (hey haven't very much respect for anyone that looks like, a German. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Neilson and daughter, Goldie. returned Sunday from Ihe Yellowstone. National Park, where they enjoyed themselves with a parly of friends consisting of Mr. and Mrs. John Rosenlof and throe sons, Kenneth, Raymond and Dewey, and their daughter, Mrs. Birch; A. E. Nyborg and daughter, Indra; Soren J. Hansen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Sweusen and three children, Mr. and Mrs. S. Swenseu and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Seely, all of St. Anthony and vicinily; Mr. and Mrs. Win. McArtlvur of Chester, and Mrs. E. K. Barton of Mount Pleasant. The company spent, two weeks in the park and the Ncilsons feel that they have had one of tho most pleasant trips of their lives.
