Xcw Era of American Prosperity People generally, no doubt, have failed to realize the full import of the wonderful figures given out from Washington showing that for the first time in American history this country is receiving more money than it is paying out. It is stated that during various periods this country has shipped out ! more goods than it has shipped in but on account of the debts owing in this country tto foreign countries, the real balance of trade has al ways ben against us. Now, however, it is said the real balance of trade is in our favor and we are, for the first time in history, a nation that is accumulating ac-cumulating more wealth than it is spending. In other words, we are not only-sending only-sending our products abroad, but we -lie teeeiving the money for them instead in-stead of other goods, or credits. We have also become a lender of money to foreign nations so that within a very near future we shall become recipients or interest money which will be paid to us, instead of our paying it out to them. This is not the only sign of the return re-turn of an era of great prosperity. The financial agencies tell about the increase of business activities all over the country. I
