The ladies bought the tickets and the gents paid one-half ; cent a pound for the lady he drew as a his partner. Free lunch was served j to all. Everybody was invited , whether married or single. The pro-1 pro-1 ceeds of the party will go to buy a , piano for our new church. The com-I com-I mittee also hired the Zenith for Fri- day evening, a matinee was given j for the same btnefit. I On Sunday evening, Oct. 20th, a ' party was given at the home of Mrs. Miggie Sanderson in honor of her son Vern. About twenty-five young people were present. The evening was spent in games, etc. Delicious refreshments were served. Vern Sanderson, John SwensorJ Mart Nordstrom and Lafayette Rollins Rol-lins left for the west desert last week', The Ladies Literary club met at the home of Mrs. James H. Sanderson, Sander-son, Oct. 17th. The lesson was given giv-en by Mrs. H. S. Olson, Mpgazine a tide by Mrs. John R. Graham, a reading by Mrs. A. U. Miner. Refreshments Re-freshments were enjoyed. Ernest Sanderson, oldest son of Martin Sanderson, died Oct. 17th. He had been bedfast with rheumatism rheuma-tism for more than two yeirs a d death came as a relief to him. Hau he lived until the last of this'month he would have been nineteen years old. Funeral services were held Sat urday, Oct. 19th. H. V. Clark, Peter Pet-er Peterson and Christian Peterson were the speakers. All spoke of his good qualities and especially of the patience and cheerfulness witn which he bore h.s sufferings. Miss Gladys Stewort returned from Idaho this week, where she ha'sspent the past two months with relatives. Miss Nellie Nielson and Wm. Garlic Gar-lic were married in the Manti temple tem-ple Wednesday Oct 23rd. They are among our most popular young people peo-ple and we extend hearty congratulations. congratu-lations. Mt. Garlic is operator of the Fairview creamery. Miss Blanche Poulsen returned from Salt Lake where she has spent the past three months attending school.
