Pleasant on Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day evenings is undoubtedly one of the best show companies on the road in this section of the country. They gave .the people of Mount Pleasant two of the best performances seen here for a long time. Wednesday evening the company played the well known play "In The Bishop's Carriage" Car-riage" and on Thursday evening they presented that gripping, Canadain melo-drama, "The Barrier," written by Rex Beach, probably America's favorite author today. Aside from the plays, mention must also be made of the specialties staged between the acts. These skits were very humorous humor-ous as well as musical and were very-much very-much applauded. The company played to good houses both nights and the audiences were very appreciative. appreci-ative. The management of the Elite is to be congratulated for securing se-curing attractions of this kind also for the orderly and up-to-date way in which they manage their stage and house in general. |
