Show a ii j! Spring City !; Earl Billington and ' ife of Kirks-ville Kirks-ville Mo. are visiting with relatives in Spring City. They expect to remain re-main in Utah for the summer. Mrs. Lydia Puzey who has been staying with her sister Mrs. Gus. Rlackman in Salt. Lake Cit v for the past winter, is home again. The Religion Classes are preparing a special program for Lund's Day to be given in the tabernacle next Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Wm. James and family of Colony Dublan, Mexico, have come to Spring City to live for the present, the troubles existing there was the cause of their leaving. Mr. James is a brother to Mrs. Neils Jensen of this city. Mr. Andrew Madsen who has been i quite ill is improving. j Lyndon Larson who has been performing per-forming missionary work in New Zealand for the past two and a half years, has arrived in Salt Lake City and will be home this week. Mons P. Larson one of our missionaries mission-aries who left home last NoveniDer for a mission to New Zealand died there April 26 1912 of Typhoid fever The body will be shipped home May 10 1912 and will arrive here some 'ime in June. They received letters and pusi cards writt en by him the first of April stating that he w;as well and getting along fine, they were ivceived this we;k or 10 nays after the telegram of his death. Our public schools closed last week ; Friday, with the exception of the eighth grade which will continue three weeks longer The closing excise ex-cise s were held in the tabernacle last Saturday evi ning. Prof. Howard Driggs of the U. of Utah gave a splendid address. The house was till-d with puplis and patrons. Prof. Driggs lectured to the parents in the Sunday School Sunday morning He being one of the General Board and supervisor of the parents Department. |
