Ill response to a groat many queries I wish to make public statement concern-ins concern-ins the sale of Pe-ru-na. No, -we are not Belling as much Pe-ru-na as we used to. The roason lor this is the change in the formula of Pe-ru-na. The patent medicine business is very peculiar and particular. A person who has been in the habit of taking patent medicine will notice very quickly the slightest alteration in color, taste or effect. It does not look as it used to, or smell as it used to, or have oxartly ihe same taste as it used to. It does not feci exactly the same in t ho stomach as before. The medlcino will bo promptly returned to the drug store and a now bottle demandod. All this I knew before I chanpreil the formula, of Pe-ru-na, which I did six Conference and I Utah State Fair One fare Excursion Rates TO SALT LAKE CITY Additional Attractions. ladies' Relief and Primary Association, October 2-3 National Irrigation Congress, Sept. 30th to Oct 3rd Tickets on Sale from Nearby Points Sept 30 to Oct 6, inclusive Return Limit Oct 12th For Distant Points SepL 29 to Oct. 4, inclusive Return limit Oct 15th - Ask For Tickets Via THE SALT LAKE ROUTE T. Dr. Hartman Answers Questions About The Revised Pe-ru-na r years ago, but did not realize the difficulty diffi-culty of overcoming the people's notions no-tions on this subject. I made a change in the formula of Pe-ru-na, Quite a radical change. A change that altered the color and the taste and somewhat the medicinal effect of Pe-ru-na. I did this believing it waa the best thing to do under the circumstances. circum-stances. Immediately the change appeared, the people began to complain of Pe-ru-na. Theyi generally thought tin druggist was to blame, that their bottle bot-tle of Pe-ru-na had been tampered with. This made bad feelings between the users of Pe-ru-na and the druggists. drug-gists. The druggists in some cases became be-came irritated and angered and made complaint to the wholesalers and manufacturers. man-ufacturers. Thus the trade was temporarily tem-porarily in an uproar. After a year of explanation the trads quieted down and the new Pe-ru-na took its place in the drug stores as a popular household remedy. And yet it has not attained the popularity that the other Pe-ru-na had. Changing the formula of Pe-ru-na was eouivalent to introducing a new medicine into the j drug trade, an extremely difficult thing to do now-a-days. Pe-ru-na as it is made today is a very excellent remedy for catarrh and general catarrhal ailments. It is for sale in all drug stores and has slight laxative elTect, very much needed need-ed in these days. It seemed to me that it was in many ways a better remedy rem-edy than before. Yet in spite of all explanations there is a considerable demand de-mand for the old I'e-ru-na as it used to be made. I have null) prized the formation of a company to manufacture it, under the trade uama of Ka-tar-no. The Ka-tar-no Co. is located In Columbus, Ohio, and stands ready to supply tho trade with the old-iimo formula of Pe-ru-n under the name of Ka-tar-no. Pond for free booklet.
