Show Plans Complete For 5tn War Loan Mayor John Gunderson, chairman chair-man of the local war bond committee, com-mittee, has completed his plans for the Fifth war loan, which will commence on June 12, and continue through July 8, 1944. The general public is cordially invited to attend a bond rally to be held Saturday evening at the South ward chapel at 8:30 p. m. to hear Salt Lake City's capable Mayor, Earl J. Glade. Mayor Gunderson states that in spite of the many obstacles to be hurdled in order to put Mount Pleasant over the top he is confident con-fident that the people of Mount Pleasant will see that their sons on the fighting lines will have the necessary money to finance this war and ultimately win the victory. The North ward bishopric, in cooperation with Mayor Gunderson, Gunder-son, appointed the following canvsasing committee which has two functions to perform during this drive: To sell war bonds to the families listed under their 1 name and to buy war bonds themselves. The objective of this committee is to raise Mount Pleasant's quota or $40,000.00, to be at the bond rally Saturday night at the South ward chapel to receive instructions on how to proceed with the canvass, and last, but not least, to back the men who fight for us that the day of victory will be speeded up. While we are backing up the men who fight for us with war bonds we are only making prudent pru-dent provision for the days after victory has been won. Because it is our job, and because we know it must be done, we, the people of Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, are going to do it as we try to do everything as well as the job can be done.
