Leon Sorensen Commissioned To Rank of First Lieutenant Word has been received here by Mr. and Mrs. George C. Sorensen, Soren-sen, that their son, Leon Sorensen, Soren-sen, now stationed at Camp But-ner, But-ner, North Carolina, was com-misioned com-misioned a First Lieutenant on November 23. Lieutenant Sorensen received this commission after being in the Service ten months. He was mustered into the Service on January 22, of this year, at Fort Douglas. He was then sent to Fort Leonard Wood Training School, Engineers division. He remained there until May 30 when he was sent to FortBelvoir, Virginia, an Engineers Candidate Officers Training School, where he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in August.
